“Binigyan ko sila ng time para maka-adjust pero hindi eh, ugali na nila. ‘Yon ang may diperensya,” said actress Ai-Ai delas Alas on why she decided to quit as the manager of the controversial hip hop group Ex Battalion.
“Hindi naman ako nagkulang sa kanila eh. Everyday, pinapaalala ko sa kanila, ‘be thankful. Bihira ‘yong nakakapasok sa mainstream na may pangalan agad, sikat agad. Sabi ko alagaan n’yo ‘yan dahil bihira ang binibigyan ng Diyos ng pagkakataon na ganyan,'” Ai-Ai said, when asked what advice she used to give the group members.
Ex Battalion, normally shortened to Ex B, is a hiphop collective known for the hit single “Hayaan Mo Sila.” The group started in 2012, with Skusta Clee, Flow-G, Brando, Emcee Rhenn, King Badger as members. The past members are Bosx1ne and JRoa.
Ai-Ai managed and handled the band since March 13, 2018. More than a year later, on May 15, the comedienne announced her decision to quit, alleging the group’s unprofessionalism as reason.
Ai-Ai is starring in the comedy flick “Feelennial (Feeling Millennial)” along with Bayani Agbayani and Pops Fernandez. Directed by Rechie del Carmen, the film, produced by Cignal Entertainment and DSL Productions, will be shown in cinemas starting June 19.
