It’s “Just Love” between ABS-CBN and DILG on “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
The show’s star, Coco Martin, led the group that went to Camp Crame on Wednesday to take part in a dialogue with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and resolve the “issues” raised by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in relation to the program’s content.
PNP chief Oscar Albayalde earlier said the show gives a “bad impression” of police officers.
In a joint statement released on Nov. 22, the DILG and ABS-CBN said the dialogue had been “fruitful… Both parties were thankful for the chance to express their views directly to each other.”
The PNP stated the importance of the support and respect of the people to it’s organizations while recognizing ABS-CBN’s freedom to create and convey the story of the program, the statment pointed out.
For its part, ABS-CBN assured them that the program would continue to portray Cardo Dalisay as a police officer with integrity, who is dedicated to serve and protect the people. (Report by Daisy Liezel Cuison)
