Actors Ariel Rivera and Gelli de Belen admit that it was tough adjusting to getting separated from their two sons, who are currently studying in Canada.
But their longingness disappear when they see that their sons, Joaquin and Julio, are enjoying life there. “First time nila sabihin na they are enjoying school, kasi when they were in school here, they didn’t like it,” said Gelli. “Kahit sa phone, sometimes they will tell me ‘Mom, I got to go. I have to study kasi may test tomorrow.'”
The real-life couple is currently promoting their reunion movie titled “Ang Sikreto ng Piso,” which will premiere in cinemas on Jan. 30.
The family-oriented comedy is inspired by actual events on the smuggle of the Philippine peso coin in 2006.
It also stars Bea Binene, Nico Nicolas and child actress Angelica Ulip. They are supported by talented comedians Lou Veloso, Long Mejia, Beverly Salviejo, Wacky Kiray, Ricky Rivero and beauty queen/fashion designer Joyce Peña Pilarsky (who is also producing the film for JPP Dreamworld Entertainment in cooperation with MPJ Entertainment).
