“Ngayon po kasi gusto kong mahasa sa comedy. Kasi po no’ng nag-theater po ako, hindi lang comedy ang genre. Nakaka-in love ang comedy. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na nakakagawa ka ng nakakapagpasaya sa iba,” said actress Donna Cariaga when asked about her dream project.
Donna was seen in films like “The Hopeful Romantic” (2018), “Harry & Patty” (2018) and “Dapol tan payawar na Tayug 1931” (2017). She was named the Season 2 grand champion of “Funny One,” the only comedian search on TV that aired on “It’s Showtime.”
The Alex Calleja comedy flick “Papa Pogi” features Donna in her first lead role. “At dahil gusto ko talaga magpatawa, sana bigyan nila ako ng chance,” she told reporters.
“Papa Pogi’s” trailer has garnered 9 million views and still counting, which indicates that netizens are intrigued by the movie’s premise.
The film presents to us the concept that while we all want love, looking for someone to spend the rest of our lives with is not an easy task.
Apart from Donna, the movie also stars Teddy Corpuz, Myrtle Sarroza, Joey Marquez, Lassy, Nonong Ballinan, Dawn Chang, Hashtags members Nikko Natividad, Zeus Collins, and Luke Conde.
