“Part na ‘yun ng personality ko. Constant reminder ko s’ya. Hindi naman sa dapat ramdamin mo ‘yung adulation or compliments ng mga tao. Hindi ‘yun! Tap on your shoulder lang,” said singer-actress Sarah Geronimo when asked if would sometimes feel unworthy of the adulation given to her by her millions of supporters.
“It just says you did a good job, na okay naman ‘yong ginawa mo do’n. It’s a constant reminder of not being too hard on myself kasi nakakakrung-krung po ‘yun eh,” Sarah said at the recent launch of her makeup collection, Pop Studio, at the Kia Theater in Quezon City.
Sarah started a career after winning in the singing contest “Star For a Night” at age 14. She then signed with music label Viva Records and rose to fame with the release of her debut album “Popstar: A Dream Come True” (2003), which became a multi-platinum record.
Prior to the launch of her makeup collection, Sarah had been teasing her fans for weeks about a mystery project. She eventually unveiled it as Pop Studio.
At the high-energy event Sarah performed two song numbers. She was also joined by the rising recording artist Janine Teñoso and Grammy Awards invitee Marion Aunor, as well as other talents from her management company, Viva Entertainment, namely PPop Generations, Nitro, After 5, J-Queens and Via Ortega.
