“I miss my dad and mom. I miss my childhood. I miss Dasma. I miss the house. I miss my life as a little princess. I miss being a daughter,” said Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who expressed her feelings toward her family last Saturday in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 in Makati City.
“Na-master ko lang, sa tagal ko sa show biz, na walang kinalaman ‘yong audience kung ano ang dinadala mo o kung may dinadala ka nga,” Sharon told Noel Ferrer, host of the radio talk show program “Level Up with Noe Ferrer” and Inquirer reporter Marinel Cruz. “Na-master ko ‘yong ngingiti ka kahit anong nararamdaman mo. Madami akong pinagdaraanan.”
Sharon Cuneta plays lead in the Erik Matti thriller “Kuwaresma,” which also features multi-awarded actor John Arcilla. It premiered in cinemas nationwide on May 15.
The film tells the story of husband Arturo (Arcilla) and wife Rebecca Fajardo (Cuneta). Their son Luis, portrayed by newcomer Kent Gonzales, returns to their old house with a dark past to unravel the true reason behind the death of his twin Manuela (played by Kent’s real-life sister Pam), who mysteriously died on the second week of Lent.
The cast also includes former child actress Guila Alvarez who plays Salve, the medium who warns Luis against returning to their old house.
“Kuwaresma” is Globe Studios’ latest project with Reality Entertainment. It is Sharon’s first project with Erik whose works include “Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles” and its sequel “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2,” “Pa-Siyam,” “Seklusyon,” “On The Job,” and “BuyBust.”
